With the heavenly blessings of Revered Sant Baba Dlawar Singh Ji (Brahm Ji) and with the benign endorsement of our Chancellor Sant Baba Sarwan Singh ji, able guidance of respected Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharmjit Singh Parmar , and under the aegis of IQAC, Gender champion Scheme Implementation Committee organized a gender champion selection day on 1st August 2022. UGC has issued guidelines to make the young boys & girls gender sensitive & create positive social norms that value the girls and their rights in their campus and to select responsible leaders who will facilitate an integrated & interdisciplinary approach, understanding the socio-cultural constructions of gender that shape the experience of women & men in society. Approximately 30 Students from various departments have participated enthusiastically in the event. They registered themselves for the Gender Champion Scheme. Activity begun with welcome speech of Ms. Surinder Kaur Grewal, Nodal Officer, Gender Champion Scheme. She shared the significance of the event with students and also motivated them to participate in upcoming events. Dr. Ramandeep Kaur Chahal Chairperson Gender Champion Scheme addressed the students with her remarkable words. Ms. Ramanpreet Kaur(Coordinator), Ms. Kuljit Kaur(Member), Dr Vivek(member) were also present in the ceremony. The function ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Surinder Kaur Grewal (Assistant Professor, Department of English).
