Awareness Camp on “Health and Hygiene”

Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences, University Institute of Sciences, Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, Jalandhar have organized an awareness camp on “Health and Hygiene” in Government Primary School, Ghurial, Cluster Massanian, Block Adampur, Jalandhar on 9th Oct, 2023.
Dr. Aksh Sharma (Coordinator, Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences), Dr Chetna (Activity In charge, Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences), Ms Meena (Event In charge, Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences) have conducted this drive.
During this awareness drive, Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences have provided awareness regarding: eating healthy habits, balanced diet and cleanliness. The aim of this activity is to promote the well-being of individuals and communities by preventing the spread of infectious diseases and reducing the burden of illness and disability. Students have guided the students and staff about how to clean our surroundings and environment.
During this awareness drive, students and faculty have provided awareness regarding healthy habits and steps to wash hands. Amrit, student of B.Sc. (MLS)- 5th Sem presented a song on health and hygiene. Students also have demonstrated it through displaying posters and PowerPoint presentation. Department of Life Sciences and Allied Health Sciences, SBBSU have distributed stationary to brilliant students. Candies are also distributed among all the students. Question /answer session have also been carried out. This awareness campaign is very fruitful for all and is highly appreciated by the audience. The event was concluded with vote of thanks to all for sparing their valuable time and participated enthusiastically. School authorities have highly appreciated the efforts of SBBSU for conducting such type of awareness programmes.
